Almost everybody, especially females, want to have the best looking skin possible. We turn on the television or pick up a magazine and we see a beautiful model with flawless skin. That model has on makeup about an inch thick and then they use special lighting before they take the shot. Anybody who has ever had a glamour shot photograph taken knows what I’m talking about.

There are many mothers out there that feel like getting into bed before midnight is indulgence. What they need are some basic skin care tips that they can fit into their everyday lives without breaking the bank. Basic skin care doesn’t have to be complicated and time consuming. You probably wash your skin everyday any way so taking a few extra minutes won’t interfere with your life.

Probably the most important of these skin care tips is to stay out of the sun. We all like to have a tan in the summer but the cost of sunbathing is too high. Not only does it age your skin, it also causes skin cancer. There are a lot of self tanning products today that will give you realistic color without the UV rays.
Don’t use soap on your face. Soap was intended to use on your body. Find a mild soap to use on your body and buy a facial cleanser for your face. When you are young you may not realize what you are doing to your skin by using soap. It might take years, but eventually the soap will dry your skin out, which leads to wrinkles later in life.
Use a moisturizer which is formulated for your skin type. Even oily skin needs moisturizer after cleansing. Try to apply moisturizer to clean skin before bedtime and again in the morning when you get up. You may not feel that you need to cleanse again in the morning but you have to remember, about eight hours has passed since you last cleansed.
Get plenty of rest and drink plenty of water. You’ve heard this all of your life so listen to it. Healthy skin needs hydration. Drinking water has many benefits so try to get in six to eight glasses during your waking hours.
These are some basic skin care tips that everybody can follow without a lot of time and money. The important thing is to maintain skin care on a daily basis.
